10-minute sequence
This breath we will be working with two different mudras during our basic inhale and exhale.
Prithvi Mudra:
Ring finger to the tip of the thumb with the other three fingers straight.
Benefits:
increases + stabilizes the energy in the root chakra (earth element)
enhances love, compassion, tolerance, joy, self-assurance
very grounding + stabilizing
enhancing the nail, skin, hair + bones
Gyana Mudra:
Index finger to tip of thumb with other three fingers straight
Benefits:
known as the ‘yogi tranquilizer'
index finger represents individual consciousness
thumb symbolizes cosmic consciousness
bring index + thumb together forms the unity of the two powers
the other 3 fingers represent the 3 gunas
develops wisdom, knowledge, peace, concentration, focus
helps alleviate insomnia, depression, mental imbalance, good for the nervous system
